[ f o u r ] ~ was an interactive album-making process in the form of four performances with a final dis.play acting as an album release event. The final album was produced in a week using the sounds created during the performances with the interaction of the listeners.

It was a collaboration between minyu, panğyu and the participants.
-
During the performances, min interacted with pan’s modular micro-sound synthesizer using hand gestures, with the help of infrared light sensors which produce control voltages to shape the sounds. After a demo session, min invited listeners to interact with the system and recorded all the sounds they created together. These sessions were not meant to create immediate musical results and structure, but were rather just for the joy of discovering cool sounds along with the audience and obtaining raw footage for pan to be used later.

In the final week, pan used this sound footage to make an album, which is to be released at the finissage event along with a physical limited edition object only available during the event [~] on June 3rd, 2023 at 400x118.
